There are 429 footballers registered to participate in this week’s National All Stars showcase in Mount Pearl, NL and Halifax, NS. Both the U-16 and U-15 Boys soccer competitions will take place in Mount Pearl while the U-16 and U-15 Girls soccer competitions will take place in Halifax. This year’s showcase runs from 17-21 July 2012.
The four Atlantic Provinces are represented by Team Atlantic.
Jody Gerus from the West Prince Storm SC is representing the Island at the Under 16 level while Emma Clark and Jacqulyn Sudsbury of the Winsloe-Charlottetown Royals FC will represent the Island at the U15 level in Halifax.
On the boys side, Sam Smiley and Cameron O'Hanley from the Stratford SC and Jesse Cameron of the Summerside United SC are on the U16 Team Atlantic while Jordan deJong from the Sherwood-Rangers SC and Alex O'Brien of the Winsloe-Charlottetown Royals FC are on the U15 team.
The Island is also represented on the coaching staff.
Jonathan Vos, PEISA Technical Director, is head coach of Team Atlantic U16 Boys while Ashley McKenna, Assistant Coach with the PEI Girls Canada Games team, is assistant with the Team Atlantic U15 girls.
