Congratulations to the Stratford U18 Girls!
Solid defence and sound goalkeeping saw Stratford U18s narrowly edge RC United 1-0 in a tense affair in the Premier final on the UPEI turf.
A wicked deflection in the 12 minute off an RC United defender proved to be the difference in a game where both defences were resolute, and goalscoring chances kept to a minimum.
When RC did break through, Stratford keeper Madelyn Brothers was always equal to the task.
It was a stunning turn-around for the Mike Griffin/Scott Fisher coached Foxes, who started the season 0-5, not recording a league victory until they defeated Sherwood on July 9.
Well done to all concerned on an amazing change of fortunes, and winning the 2024 Premier Cup!
