What is the Whitecaps Pre-Prospects Program:
The Whitecaps program is a High Performance environment for the "Committed player" and is delivered at the Indoor Soccer Complex in Stratford.
Players will need to have a competent skill level and work ethic required to meet the demands of the activities/drills and games.
Individual players will be tracked and identified throughout our Whitecaps, Provincial and PEI FC programs in partnership with the Whitecaps coordinator for the Atlantic Canada Development Centre.
PLAYER ASSESSMENT PROCESS (FALL PHASE)
All players will be assessed throughout the Fall phase (Nov & Dec). At the end of the Fall phase, players will be identified and selected to return to the program in January.
Players who are not selected will have the opportunity to move into our Development Program in January which runs on Monday nights at the Indoor Complex.
The program delivers five key components:

Skill/Technique (attacking and defending)

Principles of play (possession/defending)

Mental (competitiveness and passion for the game)

Athletic development (Coordination, balance, speed and agility)

Game related activities and small sided games (3v3/5v5/7v7)

* Players will be SELECTED by staff to attend the final competition. Players must also take part in the winter phase to be eligible to attend the event.
